March 21, 2025, 9 am
Join other congregation and community members for breakfast and conversation! There will be “food for the body, food for the soul and food for thought!” Please join us for discussion and enrichment. Questions to Roger Steinke.
The Building & Property Committee handles all matters related to FLC's physical building and grounds. We welcome you to become a part of our team. Contact David Osborne, Chair or Andrew Baunsgard, Council Liaison.
The Christian Education Committee oversees the FLC nursery, Sunday School for ages 3 years - 5th grade, Confirmation, High School and Adult Christian education opportunities.
The Endowment Fund was established to receive and administer bequests, estates, insurance and other assets. The purpose of the Fund is to enhance the work of the church by establishing new ministries to, and apart from, the general operation of the congregation with emphasis on the educational support of our youth, and scholarships for post-secondary schooling and training for young adults, mission outreach of the congregation, and capital improvements for the church.
The endowment committee has scholarships available for members who are, or will be attending Lutheran colleges and universities. Please contact chairperson, Ryan Stute for more information.
Thank you for sharing your financial resources with First Lutheran. Because of your generosity, First Lutheran continues to provide mission and ministry in this community.
The Library Committee maintains reading material in the FLC Library, and sponsors a variety of activities throughout the the year.
March Book Club book is Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers by Jess Q. Suntato. Discussion leader is Knut Aagaard. All are welcome - contact Katie Pyne or Roger Steinke for the Zoom link.
The Membership Committee’s ministry is to retain our existing membership and grow our FLC family in Christ, thus creating a self-sustaining means to fulfill the mission of the Church. The committee typically meets monthly or as needed. Meetings are held in-person or via Zoom, depending on circumstances. For a complete description of our committee’s work, view or download our continuing resolutions.
All are welcome! Please contact Kathryn Chester, chair or Ho Brown, council liaison for more information.
Scrip sales have become a great fund raising resource for FLC's Social Ministry Committee. You can buy scrip (gift cards) on Sunday mornings in the narthex. There are many gift cards for things you'll be purchasing anyway, such as grocery and gas. All profits from Scrip sales go to the Social Ministries Committee for use in their programs, above and beyond the General Fund budget.
Scrip Card Purchases are Available Online
You don't have to wait until Sunday to purchase Scrip! Purchase scrip cards directly from RaiseRight for your everyday purchases, and benefit First Lutheran Church’s Social Ministries programs!
The RaiseRight app is available in the IOS App Store or Google Play Store.
Happy Shopping!
The Social Ministries Committee is responsible for choosing recipients of our outreach resources, as well as coordinating many fundraisers to benefit outreach in our local community and around the world.
