First Lutheran Church is a congregation of followers of the way of Jesus; the way of peace, healing, and welcome. We articulate this with the words of our guiding principles: Care, Grow, Proclaim and Serve.
Founded in 1886 by Norwegian immigrants from Molde, Norway, they formed a community of faith to help them in their newly adopted country. They had no idea that their humble congregation would expand that welcome to immigrants from China, Korea, Germany, and people of the LGBTQ++ community. That idea of welcome permeates the work of this community of faith.
Please take time to get to know us through our social commitments, Statement of Welcome, and our Vision 2025. Also, you are welcome to worship with us in whatever way is helpful for you, in person or online. We have a YouTube channel “First Lutheran Church of Bothell” where you can watch worship recordings and meditations.
No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome here at FLC.
